Dr Muhammad Waseem Sial
General Paediatrician

Muhammad is a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). He is a General Paediatrician trained at The Royal Children Hospital and Monash Children Hospital Victoria. He has experience of working in broad range of Paediatric Specialties including Gastroenterology, Liver transplant, Neonatology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Adolescent Medicine, Anorexia Nervosa, Developmental Paediatrics (including Autism), General Paediatrics and Emergency Paediatrics. He has more than 19 years of medical experience. Currently he is working as General and Emergency Paediatrician at Monash Health.
Muhammad offers consultation in four languages including English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi (please let reception know about your preferred language).
Special Interests:
Muhammad has special interest in Neonatalogy, Developmental paediatrics (including autism), and eczema management. Muhammad also has special expertise in the management of feeding and sleep problems. He can snip tongue ties in babies. He can help in management of unhealthy weight/Obesity.

Dr Rukhsana Yasmin is a highly skilled and experienced General Physician and has many years of working experience. Dr. Rukhsana is known for her exceptional medical expertise, compassionate patient care and personalized approach. She has dedicated her career to diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions while providing personalized healthcare services to her patients. She takes the time to listen to her patients’ concerns and works closely with them to develop a treatment plan that meets their individual needs. .She can also do Iron infusion.

Dr Deepu Balakrishnan

Dr Deepu Thaiparambil Balakrishnan completed his physician and cardiology training at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide and an interventional fellowship at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.

Deepu then trained in complex coronary and structural heart intervention in UK before working as a consultant in Victoria, focusing on complex structural heart intervention and TAVI.

Deepu is well experienced in medical and interventional treatment of coronary artery disease including complex coronary intervention, advanced valvular heart failure, valvular heart disease and percutaneous treatment of structural heart diseases.

Dr Zarrar Ashraf Chowdary
Consultant Psychiatrist

Zarrar practices in a holistic manner as both doctor and psychiatrist using his psychotherapeutic skills. His particular focus has been to bridge the gap between GP and specialists and values the importance of communication.
Zarrar has been managing patients with substance use and mental health disorders as well as chronic pain quite often in the background of complex trauma. He works well with other specialists including family members to develop a holistic care plan.
He obtained membership from the Royal College of Psychiatrists, England in 2006 and CCT in General Adult, Rehabilitation and Addiction psychiatry in 2009. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2012. He received his board certification in addiction medicine from USA in 2015. Later in year 2018, he was awarded the fellowship from Royal College of Psychiatrists, England.
Substance use disorders not only include illicit but also licit drug use issue including opioids and benzodiazepines like valium/Xanax etc. There is also behavioral addictions including gambling. These condition may require treatment with opioid replacement agents and stabilization of benzodiazepine dependence and other relapse preventing agents. It may need outpatient or inpatient care and Zarrar works very closely with patients in either set up and focus on informed care plan and collective decision making to move forward in the road of recovery.
With time, Zarrar has been focusing on deprescribing as he has noted that patients have often acquired multiple medications and clinical indications may have lost in translation. He takes a very cautious and pragmatic approach as he embarks on journey of deprescribing in partnership with his patients. He appreciates the importance of working closely with other specialists and GPs and often take a graduated approach.
He has been working in Monash health with their addiction medicine unit and previously has help numerous consultant psychiatrist position in community mental health team, inpatient set up, long term rehabilitation facility and justice health set up. He is member of Faculty of Addiction Psychiatry and is also an adjunct lecturer with Monash University.

Dr Brindi Rasaratnam
Gastroentrologist
MBBS (Hons), FRACP, Ph.D.
Dr Brindi Rasaratnam is a fully accredited Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist. Having completed his Medical degree with honours at Monash University he proceeded to internship and residency at the Alfred Hospital. Dr Brindi then subsequently completed his Physicians training exam and receiving FRACP recognition. Further Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy training continued at the Alfred Hospital.
Following gaining his FRACP, Dr Brindi further undertook a PhD in Hepatology, particularly examining the circulatory disturbances in patients with cirrhosis of the liver with reference to portal hypertensive bleeding, ascites formation and other end stage complications of this illness. This was undertaken under the supervision of Professor Frank Dudley and the Baker Medical Unit. Work from this study was published in national and international journals including two primary author studies in the prestigious Annals of Internal Medicine. He has also spoken at multiple national and international conferences.
In private practice, Dr Brindi is committed to providing expert gastrointestinal and hepatology care as well as performing gastroscopies and colonoscopies in locations around the south eastern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Dr Brindis special interests include bowel cancer screening, management of inflammatory bowel disease, investigation of abdominal bloating as well as managing patients with fatty liver disease, hepatitis B and C infection.

Zohra is the director of Balanced Smiles servicing dental patients in the South East of Melbourne, Australia. She is an Oral Health Therapist graduate from the University of Melbourne, and an Orofacial Myologist trained at the Australian Academy for Orofacial Myology.
With over 12 years experience in the dental field, Zohra is passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-focused dental care. With additional training in jaw pain assessment and treatment, orthodontics and orofacial muscular dysfunctions, Zohra excels at delivering holistic oral health care for the whole family.

Dr. Dylan Kurtz
General Dentist and Orthodontist
Dr. Dylan Kurtz is a dedicated general dentist with a focus on restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Since beginning his career in 2010, he has gained diverse experience working in both public and private settings, including rural and semi-rural areas. A JCU graduate, Dr. Kurtz has pursued extensive professional development, completing a restorative fellowship with Ripe Global, digital orthodontics training with Boss Ortho, and implant training with the Australian Implant Association. He has also undertaken TMD training with Damien Teo, OSA training with the 3D Sleep Institute and Respiratory Dental Institute, and is currently under the mentorship of Simon Wong to learn early interceptive treatment and orthotropics. An avid learner, he has been a member of Spear Education since 2016 and the Protrusive Dental Group since 2023.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kurtz has a passion for gardening, permaculture, and regenerative farming, having completed a PDC in 2019. He enjoys cooking, hiking, camping, and exploring areas off the grid, as well as storytelling, reading, and aspiring to publish books in the future. A devoted sports enthusiast, he is particularly passionate about NRL and cricket, and is currently learning to play the guitar. Looking ahead, Dr. Kurtz hopes to take on a teaching or mentorship role and develop a patient education program.

Mouhamed Foladkar

Mouhamed started his Physiotherapy journey after completing a Bachelor Of Physiotherapy (Hons) in 2019. Since then he has gained a wealth of experience working in both the public and private sectors, sports clubs, and in country Victoria. He works well with the geriatric population however also has a range of experience working with children, neurological disabilities, sports injuries, falls, and balance issues as well as general musculoskeletal pain.

Mouhamed has a keen interest in chronic pain. He understands that it is more than just a physical problem and seeks to incorporate strategies to help clients live a more healthy, holistic, and pain-reduced life.

When not treating clients Mouhamed enjoys using his time reading, trying new coffee beans, or both at the same time.

Dr Erin Crowe
Psychologist
Dr Erin Crowe is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar
with experience in both public and private settings. She has worked in hospitals, community services, schools and private practice.
Erin offers a warm, compassionate, and inclusive therapeutic space. Her approach is flexible and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
She works with adults, adolescents and children experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood difficulties, autism, ADHD, eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, cancer, sleep disorders and relationship difficulties.
